Join us for a meaningful and informative program in our Winter Lecture Series with “Lipan Apache,” presented by Ashley Leal, Ed.D., on Monday, March 16th, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. This lecture offers an introduction to the history, culture, and enduring legacy of the Lipan Apache, one of the Native peoples with deep roots in Texas and the surrounding regions. Ashley Leal, Ed.D., will share insight into the Lipan Apache experience, exploring their traditions, resilience, and continued presence in Texas history. The presentation invites audiences to gain a broader understanding of Indigenous history and its vital role in shaping the cultural landscape of the state. Accessible to a wide audience, this lecture combines historical context with thoughtful discussion and interpretation. A Q&A session will follow, providing attendees the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the speaker. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted. Attendees are invited to enjoy coffee and light refreshments, generously provided by H-E-B and Duck Blind Coffee, whose sponsorship helps make this Winter Lecture Series possible. Spend your Monday lunch hour learning about the Lipan Apache and their lasting impact on Texas history.
