The 11th Annual Rockport Film Festival celebrates the growing power of cinema on the Texas Coast and some of the best independent filmmaking from Texas and around the world.  The three-day festival\, endorsed by the Texas Film Commission and Texas Commission on the Arts\, features award-winning shorts\, feature-length films\, animation\, documentaries\, and student films that highlight talent from Texas\, the country and the world.\n\n \n\nAbout two months before the Festival Hurricane Harvey tore through Rockport   devastating the local theater and the Rockport Center for the Arts building. But the Festival committee decided that the event must persevere. Some changes had to be made   Friday and Saturday screenings have been relocated to the Texas Maritime Museum\, and these screenings will be free for attendees (limit 120 per screening).  Contributions will be accepted.
