DESCRIPTION:Quick Draw Masterpieces Saturday at Plein Air Southwest\n\n \n\nCome on out to the Rockport Center for the Arts on Saturday morning\, May 26th.  This unusually fun spectator sport called the Quick Draw will surely cause your jaw to drop.\n\nPlein Air artists will be completing a painting\, start to finish\, in a couple of hours.  Visitors can interact with the artists and watch them sweat as they rush through the process.  Results can be bold\, fresh\, and colorful!\n\n \n\nSaturday morning\, May 26\, the Plein Air Southwest artists' competition continues with a short two-hour Quick Draw.  The public is welcome to watch the artists complete a painting quickly.  The PASW competition artists can then add their Quick Draw result to the exhibition and sale.  The competing artists will vote on their favorite piece produced by a fellow artist and award the Artists Choice.\n\n \n\nAlongside will be another Quick Draw event with Non-Competition Outdoor Painters Society member artists\, and Local Artists\, providing they registered ahead for the Associates Quick Draw.  Results are eligible for prizes.  1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd Cash Awards will be given.   Stick around to view all the freshly painted Associates and Local Quick Draw pictures displayed on easels. \n\n \n\nInside the Gallery there will be more paintings.  No doubt you will recognize many of the local landscape scenes depicted by the 53 artists competing in the 2018 Plein Air Southwest.  Find your favorite.  The sale and exhibition will be at the downtown Rockport Center for the Arts on Saturday May 26th and continue until June 9\, 2018.
