Rockport Kite Festival April 27-28

Gather up your family and friends and come out to Rockport and join us for the 2019 Rockport Kite Festival. The Rockport Center for the Arts will be hosting their Free Family Event with projects and kites for children to work on while attending from 10 – 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

The Kite Festival will feature professional kite-flying demonstrations, kiteboarders in the ski basin, food vendors, and music. Volunteers will be on hand to help families and to ensure smooth flying.

Kite Festival Schedule (subject to change based on wind speeds)

10 – 5:00 Kite Demonstrations – Big Kites (all day)
10:30 – 11:15 End of Line Kite Team
11:30 – 12:00 Kite Demo – Blow Carts – Terry Crumpler
11:30 – 12:30 Kite Quad Demos – Bill and Free Style
12:00 – 2:00 Kite Boarders in Ski Basin – Rocky Chatwell & crew
2:00 – 2:45 Kite Demonstrations – Austin End of the Line team
2:45 – 3:45 Kite Demo – Blow Carts – Terry Crumpler
3:00 – 3:45 Kite Demo – Quad Line Stunt Kites – Bill Seward
4:00 – 5:00 Kite Demonstrations – Glider Kites – Buggy Kites
